A very few of Mulla Nasruddin’s stories were last read by most of us in our childhood. They would mostly form a chapter in prose in say English or Hindi or Bengali literature. The story would be enjoyed upon but rarely were any of us exposed to a chance to really know the meaning behind the prose. Murty sir has related Mulla’s prose to current life situations. Indeed, an excellent read by all of us, especially the millennials who find instant solutions for problems on the Google. The book does not preach, does not ask you to follow a path, it actually stirs up your ‘Grey Cells’ in the brain. One read and the book will be in your personal library for a lifetime. Because you would like to re-read it again and again. I sincerely wish Murty sir would come up with more such writings.

It’s not very often that I have a lot to say about a book and yet don’t know what to say or where to begin from! I can easily say that this is one of the best books I have read this year and that could be because of my strong liking towards the subject of spirituality and philosophy combined with how wonderfully this book has been written.
It basically serves as an eye-opener and helps us understand the mediocrity of our thinking, beliefs and acts that we are so very proud of or unaware of how wrong they actually are just because we follow the herd mentality of ‘if everyone else is doing it, it has to be right’; but is it actually?
The author has also included short stories of various Sufi masters, Jesus and Hindu mystics and they were so very interesting to read and there was so much to learn from it as well.
I highly recommend this book to everyone! Please read it at least once, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. The author is no doubt a newbie but his book is a manifestation of deep thinking and experience, beautifully presented; so just go and pick up this book!

The book is about Mulla Nasrudin stories.
The writing style was decent and I loved the pace of the book. The book is brilliant.
I am overwhelmed with the marvellous stories and the philosophically inspiring explanation behind every piece narrated by Shri Narendra Murty. The narration is crisp and fluent. The author has mentioned many of the great writers and philosophers. It’s a must read….!!
